TransBiodiesel, a start-up company, develops biocatalyst substitutes to chemical catalysts, presently used for production of biodiesel fuels. Biodiesel fuels are of growing importance as partial substitutes for petroleum based fuels.

Unlike chemical catalysts biocatalysts are environmentally benign and lower the total production costs of biodiesel fuels.

The company's activities are based on the expertise and experience of its founder, Dr. Sobhi Basheer, a well known specialist in enzymes and associated industrial applications.

TransBiodiesel is located in the Galilee Society compound in Shfar-Am, in the north-west region of Israel.
