biodiesel-chemical-process-vs-enzymatic2TransBiodiesel has currently implemented the company's basic concepts at a pilot plant that produces 100 kilograms biodiesel per batch; each batch is four hours in duration. The newly produced biodiesel has been tested by an independent laboratory and presented better results than state-of-the-art biodiesel produced using chemical catalysts.

The quality of glycerol, a by-product of the biodiesel production process, is higher than glycerol obtained by applying conventional technologies.

The cost of biodiesel, produced by TransBiodiesel is lower than the cost of biodiesel produced using conventional technologies, although the company  operates a relatively small scale plant.
